Who Is It For?
Suitable for users who:
- want to alternate regularly between sitting and standing
- work in a compact office or home-office environment
- need a smaller electric desk footprint
- spend extended periods working at a computer
- use a laptop, single monitor or compact dual-screen setup
- want a complete height-adjustable desk rather than a desktop converter
- need an individually adjustable workstation
Problem to Solve
A fixed-height desk limits the user to one principal working height.
Even with a correctly adjusted chair, remaining at the same desk height for extended periods reduces opportunities for posture variation and movement.
The eo Active Desk AIIR allows the working surface to move vertically with the user, making it easier to alternate between seated and standing work without changing the layout of the workstation.
The objective is not to stand all day.
It is to make regular changes in working height simple and practical.
S P A S™ — Primary
Sit · Perch · Active · Stand
The AIIR is a direct application of S P A S™, supporting:
- regular transitions between sitting and standing
- elevated perching where appropriate
- changes in working height throughout the day
- movement between concentrated work tasks
- reduced dependence on one static working position
The wider ergonomicoffice desk framework emphasises movement and posture variation rather than reliance on any single “ideal” posture.
S E E™ — Supporting
Screen · Eye-line · Environment
When the monitor is positioned correctly or mounted on an adjustable monitor arm, the screen can rise and lower with the workstation.
This helps maintain the relationship between the eyes, screen and working posture as desk height changes.
A R M S™ — Supporting
Arm Support · Reach · Mouse · Surface
Height adjustment allows the desktop to be positioned relative to the user's elbow and forearm height.
This helps maintain:
- comfortable keyboard and mouse height
- relaxed shoulder positioning
- controlled reach across the work surface
- an appropriate relationship between chair, desk and input devices
