Hygienic Computer Interfaces for Clinical & Clean Environments
Purekeys Medical Keyboards and Mice are designed for environments where computer equipment needs to be cleaned and disinfected frequently.
Unlike conventional keyboards with exposed key gaps and difficult-to-clean recesses, Purekeys keyboards use a completely flat silicone surface over tactile scissor-switch keys, allowing the keyboard to be wiped clean while retaining a familiar typing response.

Problem to Solve
Conventional keyboards contain numerous gaps, seams and recessed areas around the keys.
These areas are difficult to wipe thoroughly and can accumulate contamination in environments where equipment is shared or handled between patients, procedures or users.
Purekeys approaches the problem by creating a continuous flat upper surface without exposed key gaps.
The silicone surface can be cleaned using common hospital-grade disinfectants, while the mechanical scissor keys beneath the cover provide tactile feedback closer to a conventional office keyboard than a flat membrane panel.
A dedicated Clean Key / Key Lock temporarily disables keyboard input during cleaning, helping prevent accidental keystrokes without requiring the keyboard to be disconnected.
Silicone surfaces are compatible with common medical-grade cleaning agents including alcohol, peroxide and chlorine-based products.

The keyboards use tactile scissor-switch keys beneath the sealed surface, while compact versions can also reduce overall keyboard width and help keep the mouse closer to the primary work zone.
